Here at Tilly-Minx Vintage, customer satisfaction is our number one priority, so here is some information we hope you will find helpful regarding our products and our site. If you have any further queries, please, contact us using the contact page.


Tilly-Minx products include handcrafted jewellery, hair accessories and hanging decorations. Pieces are crafted using original vintage jewellery or components. Other products include original vintage jewellery, pre-worn pieces from the 1930’s through to the 1970’s. We have taken every care to ensure that all our products are described accurately and have provided lots of photographs as part of the description.

When a product is described as ‘vintage inspired’ then it includes original vintage jewellery that has been reconfigured to create a new piece.

When described as ‘original’ jewellery they are untouched and remain in their pre-worn and pre-loved condition. Care and attention is taken in the selection of these pieces and only the best quality products are posted on the website. All information that is available on the item will be included with the description.

Please expect some wear and tear on both the original jewellery and the original pieces that have been reconfigured for obvious reasons. Please, also be aware that colours may vary from one monitor to another.

There are a limited number of products that do not contain any vintage elements and are made from modern materials in a vintage style.

Safety Precautions

The items sold on this website, contain small parts and exposed wire and should, therefore, not be given to children. Care should be taken when wearing the accessories due to the delicate nature and some sharp components.


This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the designs, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions. All text, images and designs on the Tilly-Minx Vintage website remain the intellectual property of Annette Jones. You may not use or reproduce this intellectual property without written permission from us.

Payment, dispatch and delivery

Every attempt is made to keep the website up to date with details, availability and costs including postage and packaging. Please bear in mind that the majority of pieces are one of a kind and cannot be reproduced exactly. Similar pieces can be commissioned but due to the limited availability of vintage jewellery it is not possible to reproduce items exactly.

Some items are available, if you see something you like and it is no longer available, please contact us and we will make every attempt to create something similar for you. Please note this will mean additional waiting time, and as bespoke pieces they will be non refundable. Bespoke orders can be placed using the contact form provided. The costs will be calculated based on the number of hours used to design and make plus the material costs. Packaging and postage costs will be added, if appropriate. A written contract will be sent with a breakdown of costs and details of the contract including a completion date. Once this has been signed and agreed by both parties a deposit of 50% is required, payable by credit/debit cards (via PayPal only). Once the making has started the balance will be required. If changes to the contract are made then this will incur additional costs based on the number of hours work involved..

All handmade products will be dispatched within 14 working days following completion unless another time scale has been agreed by both parties. (international orders may take longer and any international tax charges are the consumer’s responsibility). Although the majority of pieces may be completed sooner, custom designs or large pieces can take up to this amount of time to complete. Ready to buy items will be dispatched within five working days on receipt of full payment.

All Items are sent by Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery as standard requiring a signature on delivery. Costs of postage and packaging are itemised in the description of each piece on the website or detailed in the contract for bespoke pieces. If for any reason you do not receive your item, then please contact us as soon as possible and we will use the Royal Mail tracking system to locate your package. Please note that we do not take responsibility for non-delivery or late items due to factors outside of our control.

Overseas customers

If you live outside of the UK please contact us before purchasing your item and we will provide you with a cost for postage.

Returns/refund policy

In accordance with the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 you have a 14 day ‘cooling off’ period from the day you receive your goods. Please note: this only applies to ready to buy accessories. We hope that you are happy with your purchase but if, for whatever reason, you are not you should notify us within these 14 days that you wish to cancel your contract with us. This can be done by email, by using the cancellation form or by telephone with details of the item that you wish to return. Please, note that mobile telephone tariffs apply.

It is your responsibility to return the items within the next 14 days after informing us of your wish to return. Returning the items by Recorded Delivery is recommended for your protection. Return postage will not be refunded. Once we receive the product (or proof of postage) we will be happy to make a refund within 14 days. Returned items must be in original condition, unworn, complete, undamaged, include supplies and all documentation and gifts that were part of the cancellation transaction. Missing parts or damaged merchandise will be deducted from the final refund.

We are unable to accept the return of earrings in compliance with current health & hygiene regulations. Original earrings are pre worn and therefore if you purchase them you are doing so at your own risk.

Please note: bespoke orders are non-returnable. Bespoke refers to items which are specifically designed for you and are not available to purchase through the website, as seen. Please, be aware that there is no right to cancel in relation to personalised items. This will include alterations, personalised changes in design and one off pieces made specifically to your requirements.

If you would prefer, we will attempt to repair faulty items, rather than refund. Please indicate your preference when you contact us. 
Unfortunately, due to administration costs and the one off nature of the pieces we are unable to offer an exchange service. If you wish to order a different item to the one you have received, you will need to place a new order online and return the item you have for a refund using the cancellation form.

Goods being returned to us are your responsibility until they reach us and we cannot accept liability for any lost or damaged goods that you are sending back. For your own protection, we strongly recommend that you return all items to us using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods that you are returning. We ask that all items below the value of £50 are sent Recorded Delivery and all items above £50 are sent by Special Delivery. We do not take any responsibility for items that are not delivered and request that you contact Royal Mail directly. We will supply you with your tracking number on request.

Gift Returns

To protect security interests, we are only able to process returns and refunds when dealing with the original purchaser of the goods. If you need to return your gift, please inform the person who purchased it so that they can return the gift to us for a full refund. 
This returns & refunds policy does not affect your statutory rights.

It is our responsibility to supply you with goods that meet your consumer rights.
